We finally have some great news for our club. As per the advice received from
Golf Australia (for which I have included an extract below) we are able to play
golf following the guidelines given. The full directive can be found on
25/3: Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr. Jeanette Young and the Queensland Government Director-General, Department of Justice and Attorney-General, David Mackie have provided advice to Golf Australia that Queensland Golf Clubs can operate on their Golf Courses from Wednesday 25th March, 2020 in accordance with National Cabinets approved measures relating to outdoor gatherings which includes but is not limited to having groups less than 10 people and maintaining a 1.5m spacing.
Licensed golf clubs can sell take-home liquor to their members. The liquor must be consumed away from the club. The consumption of the liquor on the premises e.g. in the club, around the club house, or on the course, is not allowed.
We sincerely thank you all for your patience whilst we navigate our way
